I Met A Girl

This song is a tongue in cheek sort of thing and could be described as a bit rude; I don't think my mother would want to listen to it. I laugh every time I play it - though laughing at my own joke - that's bad form isn't it? I like the perverse absurdity of this song and I wouldn't take it to seriously, remember the musical 'Oliver', when they sing 'I'd do anything, for you dear anything, yes I'd do anything - anything? Yes anything for you'- well if you're up for 'anything'. This song had/has a few technical problems, which Dave tried to correct and I think they don't sound too bad now, but we know where they are, and maybe if you've got a good 'ear', you can spot them.

Hitchcock Moments: During the recording session I was trying to show Charlie the lead guitar bit when Dickey suggested I try playing it. It was a chance to borrow Charlie's guitar so I gave it ago. I usually mess up when the record button is pushed but this time I made it through to the end in one take, though I was hanging on by the skin of my teeth near the end. I also sing the backing vocals.
